Don't
Buy Those J Lo Jeans!
I have never worked with a professional woman or one involved in community and civic affairs who wanted a bigger butt. Most women seek the advice of an image consultant because they want to camouflage their rear end. Wearing shoulder pads, longer jackets with the sleeves pushed up, larger earrings and necklaces, and "bigger" hair all make a woman look like she has an "H" or "V" body shape, which gives the impression of youth, intelligence, power, and credibility. Emphasizing the rear end gives you an "A" body shape, which does not give those good impressions. American women pay big bucks on clothing and accessories, not to mention cosmetic surgery, to look "visually" heavier in the shoulder area, NOT the hips and thighs. I've also never seen a woman with good self esteem who wants her rear end looked at. It is generally known that those with low self esteem spend an inordinate amount of time and money looking sexy, with hem lines too short and necklines too low, trying to make themselves feel important by having men notice them. They are never satisfied with their looks, are always looking for another man to "want" them, and are routinely in co-dependent, abusive, unequal relationships. Women who are sure of themselves accept their sexuality and exhibit it appropriately. Emphasizing sex is always inappropriate in the workplace. In our American culture, we do business with the eyes. Everything an image consultant does should be to emphasize the eyes and encourage people to look at you in the eyes rather than glancing at cleavage, hemlines, rear ends, hips, and thighs. Third world countries emphasize the reproductive body parts and magnify them. We don't in the United States. Before
you buy those jeans that give you the J Lo rear end, or invest in those
posterior implants, you need to decide what you want. Do you want credibility
in the work place or do you want to be picked up at the bar. If you spend
most of your time at the bar, then maybe the J lo rear end is for you.
But (no pun intended), if you spend most of your time at work or volunteering
in the community, you will want people looking at your eyes, which are
on the front side of you! You can't have it both ways. You have to make
a choice. Either you want people to look at your butt or you want them
to look at your eyes. Ultimate
